The day just after the wedding, and after only a few hours of sleep, we managed to wake up, finished to pack our stuff and went to the Venice airport (VCE) in order to take off towards Dubai, our first and only hop towards our final destination of Perth, the capital of Western Australia. In the rush and excitement of the moment, we forgot home my Pocket PC, which I had carefully prepared with Australian maps and POIs. I’m glad to say that at the end we haven’t really missed it, since Australia is a huge country, but its road system isn’t that complex, at least if compared to European standards. Besides for big cities, there aren’t basically many ways you can get lost. Flight’s been long but smooth. Emirates provided us with enough good food …and even an honeymoon cake.
